Back to School!

June marks the beginning of very different seasons for different countries in the world. For example, the rainy season usually starts on June in the Philippines, while for other countries, it is the month when the weather starts to get sizzling hot. Also, June is the month when students get back to school and start their 10-month academic year in the Philippines, while in other countries, school is officially over. So there! I am again a studying student for about 10 months starting today.

That means blogging will be less regular than before, because as much as I love reading and posting stuff about books, my priority is still my studies. I need to study and graduate in order to find a good job that pays well (very well) so I can buy more books. Hahahahaha!

My Thoughts:

This Korean movie has been recommended to me a lot of times already by some of my classmates. Now that I already sat down and watched it, I think I can also say the do the same. I can recommend this to anyone who wants a good laugh, yet triggers emotions from deep within.

My Thoughts:

I was having doubts if I should really read this book or just leave it unread. Why? First of all, when you read the synopsis, the first thing that comes to your mind is sex. A lot of steamy moments and everything that minors should take caution reading; A story all about sex and losing one’s virginity, and who would want that? Second, it’s another student-teacher relationship story and I have read a few already. Do I really need to read another one?

Who would have thought that this small town girl living in a crazy world, who does nothing but eat, sleep, read books, watch TV, listen to music, and study occasionally would be able to keep up a blog for five months? Not me. But thank God I have managed.

The books I have read in May.

Given a month of summer vacation, you would probably think I spent every waking hour reading books. I actually planned that before vacation began. But nothing went according to plan. Somehow, I only manage to read a few. I get distracted by a lot of things these days.

I have read 7 books this May - 6 medium-length to long books, and 1 short story. Some reviews are posted on the blog and some on Goodreads. The cover images link up to where I posted my thoughts (except for Losing It, I haven't written anything about that.)
